I want to pay cash. Can I pick up and save on shipping costs? TOP
Since we are a group of stay-at-home mamas, we don't have a single pick-up location. All items ship direct from the mama making your item. The majority of our mamas are from Manitoba (from Altona to Winnipeg to Elm Creek to Portage la Prairie to Rosenort to Brandon to Lockport to MacGregor!) but we also have mamas in Saskatchewan, Alberta, British Columbia, Ontario, Quebec, and even a couple mamas in the US! We are not a big box store with supplier/reseller, building, or employee costs. We are 17 mamas working from home who make items and sell directly to you, our customer! How much is shipping? TOP
Shipping varies per item. Most items cost between $2.50-$5.50 to ship except for some of our bulkier items (like crochet hats, MDF letters, and shopping cart covers).
When you select any item and click order, the shipping amount will automatically be calculated for you to review prior to payment.
Note: Our website software doesn't acknowledge combined shipping, so if you purchase more than 1 of the same item, we discount the product instead to compensate for shipping savings. In the event you are purchasing two different items from the same mama, please contact us so we can send you a refund (PayPal/Credit Card) or store credit (EMT/Cheque) for the savings resulting from combined shipping. Why do you ask for my email address at check out? TOP
We request your email address ONLY as a way to get in touch with you if we have a question about your order. Since many of our handmade items are custom orders, we will often follow up to ensure we have your order details 100% right! We will never sell, rent, or give your contact information to any third party -- we hate SPAM as much as you do!
How do I get my baby's picture in the Cool Kids Gallery? TOP
We love getting pictures!!! So if you have a picture of your little one wearing a Trendy Babies product and would like to show him or her off, just send the photo to service@trendybabies.ca and we will add it to the gallery during our next web update!
I want to pay by credit card but when I click Visa payment, it takes me to PayPal? TOP
If you'd like to pay by credit card but don't have a credit card set up on PayPal (or don't have PayPal set up, period), then simply ignore the PayPal login screen and click Continue as shown below. You will then be directed to a credit card payment screen. Your payment will still be processed securely through PayPal but it will just show up as a regular credit card charge.

PayPal is designed from the ground up to be one of the safest ways to send money online. Payments are sent without sharing financial information. In fact, PayPal never shares your financial information with or sells it to merchants.
How it works: Your sensitive financial information is securely store on PayPal servers. When you use PayPal to pay online, you provide only your email address. The merchards receive payment from PayPal without ever seeing your financial information.
What is EMT? (Email Money Transfer) TOP
EMT is an Email Money Transfer. This is a fast and convenient way to transfer funds to anyone with an email address from within the security of your online banking service. It's a great alternative to cheques and cash. It uses email for fast notification to the recipient that a transfer has been initiated, while the participating financial institutions transfer the funds using established and secure banking procedures. All you need is an email address, access to online banking at a participating financial institution, and the email address of the person you are sending money to.
To send an Email Money Transfer:
- Login to online banking
- Locate Transfer/Payment menu options
- Specify a recipient by entering their email address
- Fill in the Interac Email Money Transfer information (dollar amount, account from which to withdraw the funds, a security question that only the recipient will know the answer to and optional personal message)
- Follow instructions to confirm the information and complete the transfer

How secure is it to send money by email? TOP
Actually, you are not sending money by email; only the notification travels over the Internet to advise the recipient that the transfer has been initiated and to provide instructions on how to deposit the money. The money always resides safely at a financial institution, and is transferred through existing payment networks that financial institutions have used for years to settle cheques, bank machine deposits and withdrawals.
Security measures have been built into the system, including:
- Encryption technology
- Confidential user IDs and passwords issued by financial institutions
- Secure login process
- A security question and answer to ensure only the intended recipient receives the money
- 128-bit browser encryption
Do I need to have access to online banking to do EMT? TOP
To send an Email Money Transfer, you need access to online banking at a participating financial institution.
If you have not yet registered for online banking, each participating financial institution makes it easy to get started. Contact your financial institution or visit their online banking website to sign up. What is your Processing Tax/Fee? TOP
